The Aim of the Fresh Futures programme

The aim of the Fresh Futures programme is to deliver working projects that demonstrate sustainable development in practice, with a focus on better and more welcoming green spaces, and communities which adopt more sustainable practices.  Allied to this, Fresh Futures wish to see increased levels of engagement in projects by communities, and will encourage innovative partnerships that put communities at the centre of decisions.

Fresh Futures will place a priority on support for disadvantaged communities.

Fresh Futures will aim to operate to procedures that are user-friendly, transparent, fair and financially robust.  Fresh Futures will communicate openly with all applicants, and will offer good practice advice to help ensure that all applications reach the highest standard - see our Customer Care Standards.  Fresh Futures staff will be available to assist potential applicants in developing their ideas to the degree where an application can be made to the programme.  A key objective is to ensure available funding is fairly distributed.
