You can take part in the consultation through their website at http://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/consultation/scotland.htm. The consultation is open until 16 May 2005.

Transforming your Space

The Transforming your Space programme finally closed for applications on 31 March 2005. Any applications received after this date will not be eligible for funding.

This programme was designed to help communities improve their local environments by making them safer, healthier, greener, cleaner, better designed, more welcoming and accessible to all. Targeting the themes of Local Environment, Public Green and Open Spaces, Local Access, Community Assets and Community Gardens, the Transforming your Space programme is helping people in some of Scotland's most disadvantaged communities tackle issues like pedestrian safety, litter, graffiti and pollution. A total grant fund of £4.5 million was made available over the two years the programme was open to applications.

The programme was launched on 4th February 2003 at the Quality Hotel at the Station, Perth. Despite the weather over 200 people attended the event, and gave the Transforming your Space programme a positive start.

Open Grants Programme

We are currently letting a contract to evaluate the delivery of the 50 successful projects supported by this programme around Scotland. The learning from this evaluation will be made available through our Publications page in early summer 2005.
